Course curriculum

This course will prepare you to service the Besam Unislide Sliding Automatic Door. We will cover the belt drive system, all the control board features, from setting dip switches for special functions, to all wiring and function adjustments. We will interface sensors & beams with the system. Also there will be a full breakdown of the Besam 6 position rotary switch with built in reset feature. We will set the door up to operate as a "typical 2 way" door, then we will set up a "1 way access control" door, with an electric lock setup. To be clear this project is to teach you all the electro mechanical "guts" of the unislide door, that you will need, to service the door. This UNISLIDE system, will actually be running or, "driving" stanley duraglide door panels, so the "Besam" wheels, guides & door panels will not be taught in this video. BE SURE to understand, the wheels-guides & door panels of ALL manufacturers of sliding doors are INCREDIBLY similar & some wheels and guides are even interchangable between manufacturers. If you can adjust or change a Stanley lower guide or carriage wheel, you can certainly change a Besam & OF COURSE any other manufacturer. Taking the approach of a Locksmith, all Locks & keys of all the different manufacturers, have thier slight differences, but for the most part they are all pretty close, so, once you build your "foundation" to service one manufacturer's system, the others are similar enough to "Recognize" & to work through. With automatic doors, its the electronics and the drive systems that are very different between manufacturers this is why we go through several manufacturers equipment with this method.
